Mary and her husband adopted Laura at birth. They had been in the family's remote retreat cabin, preparing it for the big annual family vacation, when the superflu broke out. She was formerly a pharmacy tech. and Laura is your typical 7 yr. old. Mary also had a son 14 and a daughter 17 who are presumed dead. They were not at the cabin, staying home for various school activities (sports conditioning) and work. Her husband , also presumed dead, had stayed at home with them.
